The Projection Smart Watch

Well! if was born in the 70's and was watching a futuristic movie like starwars, i'd probably scream when somebody comes and places a projection wrist watch on my lap. But before we continue on... lets read a word or two from the experts, because today we are talking about three companies who are leading in the projection race.

The RITOT: Take a look at their elevator pitch. curbed from ritot.com
Ritot - the first projection watch.

It’s been a long time since mankind has stopped peering into the sky at the sun to calculate the time. Clocks were invented for this purpose. The first clock was created thousands of years ago. There were various types of clock,
including sundial, clepsydra, hourglass and others.

Since then, the evolution of clock has continued and brought to us the first wristwatch. Every year there emerge dozens of new models of wristwatch, but the operating principle has not changed.

We live in a new progressive millennium; everything around us progresses and develops. Every year the new and new models of smartwatches are created. But all of them are similar to each other. In our opinion, watch design should be both technically innovative and fashionable. Watches demonstrating that humanity does not stand still. That’s why we decided to create really unique and entirely new product.

The uniqueness of the technology lies in pico projector. It allows project an image with high quality graphics and brightness. The watch doesn’t have any buttons, except of one touch sensitive button, with which you can manipulate the projection – run a mechanism of temporary (10 sec) or permanent projection.

Impresive right?

Now lets hear from Lenovo curbed from http://www.bidnessetc.com/43842-lenovo-unveils-concept-for-dualscreen-smartwatch-laser-projector-smartphone/

At the Tech World 2015 conference held in Beijing this week, Lenovo Group Limited (ADR) (OTCMKTS:LNVGY) shared its concept for two very innovative products that it has in store. First up was the dual-screen smartwatch dubbed Magic View, which uses projection techniques and the second was the first ever laser projector smartphone called Smart Cast.

The Chinese company has announced no release date yet.

While designing the smartwatch, Lenovo says that it had kept in mind issues such as privacy. The smartwatch's second screen comprises a virtual interactive display that is located at the top of the band. The display uses optical reflection, which generates a virtual image for the users enabling them to view a 20 times bigger virtual display than the screen's usual display. This technique lets users view the messages privately.

According to the company, there are 120 patents for the projector, which works independently via the main screen to make the Magic View the world's first dual screen smartwatch ever, once it hits the shelf. The prototype displayed at the conference upheld its promise as many people said: “Only the person wearing the watch can see the projection, it was hard to tell just how advanced the concept was.”

And then last but not least, the Circlet curbed http://www.kitguru.net/laptops/mobile/android/matthew-wilson/circlet-projects-android-on-to-your-wrist/

We’ve seen plenty of Android smart watches announced over the last year, but what about a bracelet that can project your phone screen on to your wrist? Circlet is a new wearable concept that takes full advantage of the Android operating system, rather than giving you a smaller, more compact experience like Android Wear.
The Circlet uses a pico projector, 8 long range sensors and all of the extra hardware to make Android applications run. You can activate the projector by twisting your wrist, you can then start controlling your phone from your wrist.
Circlet isn’t a consumer product just yet, the company behind it isn’t starting up a crowd funding campaign but is accepting donations, although this doesn’t guarantee you a device. There is no release date set for the device either. The creator of the new wearable does have one application out though, it is also called Circlet but it is a messaging service.
