The Event to Kick Start the New Year Part 2

Ok! I think im gonna have to clear my throat on this one because it feels like i am on Stage holding a very huge microphone and reading an audit report as to how i thought the headies went yesterday but it will not be customary to tell you about an event and not gist you as to how it all went down. Well the event was not 100% and it was not below par either, it was just a day where the artiste, just came there to collect award and go home, and if you'd think i'd give any other
comment or review as to how it went, my dear i would advice you to go to twitter and draw your own conclusion as i am only here to read the News.

  • We had a not impressive light situation, as there was either cases of too much light or no light at all and the stage did not look like a stage meant for a well aclaimed and renowned event as this one, but we Thank God it was a success.
  • We withnessed the fasion evolution as the men impressed us with their black agbada's to show african solidarity. It was a break from the conventional sagging of jeans nd Tshirt on stage.
  • Eva Alordiah got what felt like a marriage proposal on stage, and since the camera man refuseto zoom in like that, we willl just have to speculate, and Now i definately do not wanna hear any Nigerian girl say Nigerian guys are not Romantic, because that was like something we do not see everyday, if there was a very big spotlight on stage showing watching Victoria Kimani and Eva perform, i am very sure it would have moved towards Eva and Ceaser, although it has not been confirmed as to whether it was a mariage proposal by Ceaser, even though Ceaser was on his knees on live Tv, we do not want to speculate, i think it will be hilarious too if there was a traditional old woman present at the headies who will run up the stage and try to hit Eva with her hand bag for kissing in public.
  • We had someone who tested the tensile strength of the  headies award by letting it slip from his hand unto the floor (Vector's award). Falz and Simi's hilarious and impressive performance was really amazing, i was moved by the chemistry and the dance steps they put out on stage.
  • Vector's amazing and energetic stage performance was the highlight of everybody's early morning.
  • Derenle left Niyola speachless on stage as he praised her with one punchline after another in their award presentation. I heard someone say: " the weed he smokes is futuristic."
  • Obviously that Cynthia Morgan juice was to good for Nigerian's to say no to as she bagged the best dancehall/ reggae award.
  • Well Reekado's acknowlegement of Lil kesh's creative ability on stage was deep, telling the world that it was the YBNL rapper that deserved the Next Rated award and a host of other crazy scenerios.
  • 2face's scalp shone like never before as he thrilled us to a wonderful performance
  • Aramide surprised us as she knocked down the Nigerian heavyweight ladies to take home the best female vocal performance for iwo ni kan.
  • Reminisce superb live performance and vocal control
  • Bovi made our experience memorable, with thrilling and hilarious punchlines.
In all we enjoyed the event and we hope the organizers will, make the Next one better
